Welcome to the Bundeena-Maianbar Film Society
Established in 2001, the Bundeena - Maianbar Film Society serves the communities of Bundeena and Maianbar located some 30 km south of the city of Sydney as the crow flies on the southern banks of the beautiful Port Hacking.
The inaugural screening was held on 24 March, 2001 in conjunction with the Bundeena-Maianbar Art of Living Festival. This program presented two Australian features, "They're a Weird Mob" and "The Cars that ate Paris" together with a number of films in which local residents played a major role in making.
The first regular screenings commenced on Saturday, 28 July 2001 with the presentation of "Monsieur Hulot's Holiday", a timeless French comedy.
As this site develops we plan to provide news about and links with not only our own programs but other interesting aspects of films as well.
